It’s just a dress, they say. It’s just some

It’s just a dress, they say.

It’s just some fabric cut and sawn that you have to wear in order not go around naked, they say.

Well it’s not! A dress is not just a dress!

Otherwise why would every culture in history have their own dressing codes to express who they really are, why would Kings, Queens and Emperors have so many embellishments on their dresses, why would you choose the most beautiful dress on your wedding day and the list goes on and on…

On this day last week as a wedding guest I was feeling a bit tired and deflated and my confidence was as a bit lower than usual.
Let me tell you how much I felt empowered, appropriate, beautiful and confident once the softest most flattering fabric ever of this skirt touched and danced against my skin!

What you wear matters, for yourself and on how others perceive you too.

Do you speak to yourself the same way you would speak to your daughter or your mum or your best friend?

I always tell my clients the way you talk to yourself does matter.

When they look at themselves in the mirror I tell them to love themselves, love their bodies, love exactly how and who they are just as they would love their own child.
Would you tell her that she is beautiful no matter what, that she is worth it, that she is powerful, that she is special, that she is enough? Or would you tell her you look fat and wrinkly, you are not how you used to be, you need to do better, you, you …

It breaks my heart to still see so many women speaking to themselves in a harsh way, maybe the same way their parents used to do, not valuing who they are and what beautiful human beings they are. Within my empowerment styling program there is also a lot about this topic.

We are on this planet to be kind, to connect, to give and receive energy, to love, to share who we are, to learn, to fail, to try, to explore, to find magic moments...
We are not here to be perfect or to look in a certain way.

Tell or remind someone you love how special and unique or beautiful they are, spread the love and teach them to do the same about themselves.
